Professor Stang is also a Senior Fellow, since 1991, at the Loker Hydrocarbon Research Institute at the University of Southern California. Since 2004 he is an Honorary Professor of Chemistry at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Institute of Chemistry in Beijing, China, as well as Honorary Professor at Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, East China Normal University, and East China University of Science and Technology in Shanghai, China.

Victor P. Nechaevis a Senior Researcher of MineralogyLaboratory in Far East Geological Institute, Far Eastern Branch, Russian Academy of Sciences. His areas of study include geological evolution,geodynamics, geochemistry and mineralogy of ore deposits.In 1977, he graduated from Faculty of Geology and Geography,Rostov State University. In 1977–1982, he participatedin gold prospecting in the South Ural region and then turnedto Earth's sciences at the Far East Geological Institute,Far Eastern Branch, Russian Academy of Sciences. In 1982–1991, heavymineral assemblages as indicators of tectonicsettings were a main subject of his study. In 1991, hedefended his Ph.D. Thesis“Cenozoic geodynamic settings ofthe Pacific Oceanfloor from the heavy-mineral assemblages.”Later, his research became wider, including geologyof gem corundum and amber, precious metals in carbonbearingrocks, petroleum geology, and galactic influence on the earth's evolution. Professor Liu Guo was born on 1 March 1956. After graduating from the Northeastern University, he did his postgraduate study in the Art Academy of China. He was the protg of great masters including Lu Yanshao,Liu Haisu, Wu Zuoren and Zha Munhai. He is currently the Head of the Arts Faculty in Bei Hua University, Principal of the Changbai Art Academy, Faculty Head and Professor of Jilin Provincial Institute of Education and Visiting Professor of Yian Bian University. He is also serving as Chairman or Deputy Chairman of various arts associations and societies in China.

Professor Liu Guo has incessantly devoted himself to arts education and research using Changbai Mountain as his source of inspiration. He has developed 12 new techniques for Chinese landscape painting (termed Liu Guo Landscape Technique). His most notable work is a 60-meter scroll painting of Changbai Mountain that has been acknowledged as the longest scroll in the world. He has held exhibitions in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, USA, Russia, Korea and many major cities in China. Among the more than 2,000 paintings exhibited, many have been awarded prized and have been collected by museums, national art galleries, educational institutes and famed private collectors. He has been invited many times to lecture overseas and has students throughout the world. His publications include the influential book New Techniques in Chinese Landscape Paintings and 5 catalogues of his paintings. He has also edited a number of instructional manuals and 23 articles on arts education. Professor Liu is also the presenter of a 109-episode instructional program on painting techniques broadcasted repeatedly on national and provincial educational television networks to wide acclaims. He received the second highest provincial honor for achievement in education in 2005 and the gold prizes for two of his painting in 2006.
